Burro Alley Closure – Chip and Seal Work
Morenci Operations advises that roadway maintenance activities will take place on Burro Alley during September to preserve road conditions, improve driving surfaces, and support long-term infrastructure reliability.
Scheduled Work:
- September 9: Crack Seal
- September 10: Mastic Application
- September 21: Chip Seal
- September 22: Fog Seal
During this work, two-way traffic will be maintained at all times, and access to local businesses will remain open throughout the project. Traffic control measures and signage will be in place to safely guide motorists through the work area.
Employees and contractors are asked to exercise caution, obey all posted traffic controls, remain alert to changing traffic patterns, and allow extra travel time when traveling through the area. Additional caution should be used when driving near active work zones.
